The Kaye sisters’ innate eye for design and vivid vision was recognized and nurtured from an incredibly young age. Their creative parents, who had built a distinguished landscape architecture and building firm, encouraged them to explore and foster their own personal styles in a bevy of ways. While others were playing video games and experimenting with makeup, Malorie and Ariel were re-decorating their childhood bedrooms without guidelines and handcrafting jewelry to sell at sidewalk sales.

Malorie’s storied career began over a decade ago, as one of the youngest publicists to launch her own design-focused Public Relations agency. Her PR journey took her deep into each and every element of the fashion and home décor industries, where she would become well versed in the worlds of trend-forecasting, merchandising, product development and design across all categories. After helping over fifty brands build, position and grow successful collections within the home accessories and tabletop categories, Malorie realized her true calling was in creating rich interior spaces that told their own stories. With a wide breadth of experience under her belt, she went on to study Interior Design and launch Noa Blake with her best compliment, her sister, Ariel.

Ariel has become widely known across the fashion and home décor industries as a celebrated graphic designer and branding expert. Her unique perspective and creative talent have merged beautifully to develop countless websites, logos, renderings, branding packages and the like. The most notable of her cultivated geniuses however, is her knowledge and understanding of color theory, resulting in an unmatched ability to choose and pair the perfect hue at every turn. While her keen eye and innate skill produces one-of-a-kind vision, it is her incredible gift of bringing each design to life on the screen that makes clients fall in love with her every time. Alongside her sister and partner, she went on to study Interior Design and launch Noa Blake Design.

What's your own personal design style?

Modern, black, white and neutral with a subtle touch of coastal & boho.

What do you love most about Interior Design?

My job starts when I see the renderings so just going from seeing those initial concepts and ordering all of the pieces to then walking into the house and seeing the end result in real life - it is truly magical. Everyone at NBD is SO talented in their own way. It's so cool to see these cold, empty houses become warm, cozy homes which families will fill with memories.

Favorite Color?

Navy and the lightest blue. Not sure why - maybe because I have 3 boys?!

Dream Project?

I'd love to work on a Montauk house on the water! The site visits sure would be a fun perk!

What's your own personal design style?

I feel like I’m still figuring out what my personal design style is. I’m really drawn to a modern eclectic style overall. I love a dynamic blend of antique & vintage pieces mixed with newer, contemporary styles.

What do you love the most about Interior Design?

I love the moment when the design you’re working on comes together. Figuring out what the missing piece is that will make this space unique. Whether it's adjusting the way the space is laid out, changing out a specific piece of furniture or light fixture, or introducing a new fabric that just makes everything click, that moment you see it all working in a way you haven't seen before, it's indescribable.

Favorite Color?

Pink will forever be my favorite color!

Dream Project?

Beach House with an edgy twist. That and someone who would let me design insane custom dining chairs in an array of hot pinks.

What's your own personal design style?

Definitely eclectic but also classic with a modern twist.  I like mixing old and new pieces and am careful to choose big ticket items that are timeless. I also love texture. If I could wallpaper my entire house, I would!

What do you love most about Interior Design?

As a Project Manager, every day is different so the job never gets old.  I spend most days on site coordinating and trouble shooting with clients, contractors and trades.  I get to see the evolution of each space close up and have the opportunity to develop relationships with clients through the process, that's the best part, getting to know the people you're creating homes for.

Favorite Color?

I have many - emerald green, peacock blue, camel, black, navy, cream
